The Transportation Safety Board says two people were killed in a plane crash over the weekend in southwest Saskatchewan.

A Cessna 172 left Swift Current to do a pipeline inspection flight on Sunday and was on its way to Estevan.

The board says in an update today that the plane crashed about six nautical miles southwest of Shaunavon.

Investigators are on the ground to try and find out what caused the crash.
