Water main being installed for Hamptons developer

Major city artery to close to traffic on Wednesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Another major artery is being impacted by infrastructure work this week.

Starting tomorrow, Sept. 7, 13th Avenue SE from Strachan Road to South Boundary Road will be closed for the installation of a main water line to the Hamptons subdivision.

The work is being done by a local contractor for the land developer.

There will be local access only to the Medicine Hat Village mobile home park on 13 Avenue SE.

There will be no access to 13 Avenue from South Boundary Road and motorists will need to detour onto Southlands Drive SE instead.
