Fire ban remains in effect

Cypress County dealing with wildfires (includes video)

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB — A large section of land was consumed by fire along Highway 1 west of Redcliff last night.

Video sent to CHAT News by travellers show flames and multiple fire trucks and emergency vehicles on scene.

That was just before 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

Earlier in the day, Cypress County fire crews had to deal with a fire in a crop near Township road 102 and Range road 45.
