More than $100,000 in drugs seized from Medicine Hat hotel room, dealer arrested
MEDICINE HAT, AB – One person was arrested and more than $100,000 worth of drugs was seized after a Medicine Hat hotel room was searched last week.
ALERT says its Medicine Hat organized crime team and Medicine Hat Police Service made the seizure and arrest on Aug. 11 after a call from a member of the public was made about a dog in distress. Criminal intelligence was shared between the two partner agencies concerning suspected drug trafficking activity in the region.
A search warrant was executed at a hotel in Ross Glen, resulting in the seizure of 242 grams of fentanyl, 252 grams of methamphetamine and 423 grams of cocaine.
