Scholten Hill back to two-way traffic

Aug 15, 2022 | 3:12 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Two-way traffic is flowing again on Scholten Hill.

Traffic was limited to just one way while underground work, concrete replacement and bottom-lift paving on the first stage from Crestwood Drive to Cuyler Road. That work is now complete.

Road work on Carry Drive is moving to the second stage this week, focused on the intersection at Southview Drive.

Crews will do top-lift paving, line painting and landscape restoration on the full roadway in September once the other stages are complete. Schedules are weather dependent.

Detours are in place around the active work zone and flag personnel may be present. Motorists are reminded to obey all posted signs and use caution in the construction areas.

The full four-stage project, expected to conclude in September, stretches along Carry Drive from the top of Scholten Hill to the Cameron Road intersection.

You can keep up with the project’s progress at medicinehat.ca/carrydrive. The city thanks residents for their patience and understanding during the road work.
