RCMP investigating fatal collision between vehicle, pedestrian

BROOKS, AB – A Brooks man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on a secondary highway late on Saturday night, according to police.

Brooks RCMP say they responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in which a pedestrian was struck by an eastbound vehicle on Highway 539, just east of Range Road 165 in Newell County.

They say the man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
