RAYMOND, AB – Thanks to a collaborative effort between multiple law enforcement agencies, a southern Alberta man has been put behind bars.

Just before 4 p.m. on July 25 Raymond RCMP received multiple calls regarding a man attempting to break into a home on Township Road 640 and Range Road 205 near Raymond.

The same man allegedly stole vehicles on July 20 and 21, from the same area.

RCMP claims the suspect gained entry to a home, stole keys to a pickup truck, and fled the area.

The man reportedly evaded Cardston RCMP and drove into Lethbridge.

With the assistance of Coaldale RCMP, Alberta RCMP Police Dog Service, and Lethbridge Police Service, the suspect was located in a home he allegedly broke into and was taken into custody.

Travis Taylor, 31, of Picture Butte, is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, assault, assault with a weapon, mischief over $5,000, flight from police, break and enter to commit theft, break and enter to commit mischief, resisting arrest, two counts of failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking, and possession of a controlled substance.

He was also arrested on eight warrants with 32 outstanding charges from Raymond and Lethbridge.

Following a bail hearing, Taylor was remanded into custody.
