Jul 25, 2022 | 9:18 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Crews are continuing to clean up the damage caused by last week’s storm and the to-do list got a little longer this morning.

The city says crews are responding to a power outage affecting 12 rural customers on RR 61 south of the city. Trees that were damaged in the storm have given way and knocked down power lines.

The city estimates it will take about 8-10 hours to restore power.

According to the city the downed lines are causing hazardous conditions for crews and passersby. People are asked to avoid the area while crews work and to stay at least 10 metres back from any electrical infrastructure.
