Hatters ‘love to eat’: Stampede pancake breakfasts start Thursday

Jul 20, 2022 | 10:47 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Stampede is back in a big way and one of the most popular parts of the week is back in an even bigger way.

Nine pancake breakfasts will happen this year as part of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede.

The president-elect of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede says it’s the most pancake breakfasts the Stampede has ever had.

It’s easy to explain why, she says.

“Well, the citizens of Medicine Hat love to eat and pancake breakfasts bring them together. This way they get to see old friends they get to meet new people. they’re saying thank you to the stores, businesses, sorry that have stepped forward with this,” says Darlene Keeler, who is also a Stampede board member.

“And it’s just a way to start off Stampede and we just want to make it fun, fun, fun for everybody and food is always you know a good way to get it started.”
