Siksika Nation invests in community app
SIKSIKA NATION, AB – A new mobile app will help Siksika Nation leadership promote available resources to members living both on- and off-reserve.
Users will get push notifications from the Siksika Nation Tribal Administration about news, events, documents, resources, job opportunities and announcements.
Membership of the Siksika Nation is close to 7,800, nearly half of whom live away from the reserve west of Brooks.
“We put out a lot of resources for our members on a regular basis, so an app that reaches beyond our borders will help expand how much of our community we can serve,” says Chief Ouray Crowfoot in a news release. “Transparency has been a hallmark of our administration, being able to send notifications and publish content to our members at any time will make keeping band members informed even easier.”
