Medicine Hat Tigers release full 2022-23 regular season schedule

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The puck drops on the Medicine Hat Tigers’ 2022-23 Western Hockey League regular season on Sept. 24.

The Tigers will open against the Lethbridge Hurricanes at home and then travel to Lethbridge for a rematch on Sept. 30.

October brings the first road trip south of the border for the Tabbies in four years, playing five games against the U.S. Division teams from Oct. 7-14. Later that month, Oct. 29, former Tiger Teague Patton and the Victoria Royals will come to Co-op Place, the first Western Conference opponent to travel to Medicine Hat since the pandemic.

The popular Teddy Bear Toss game for the Tigers will take place on Dec. 3 against Saskatoon, and Feb. 25 will see the long-awaited return of former head coach Shaun Clouston and the Memorial Cup host Kamloops Blazers.

Holiday and special calendar dates for the Tigers see them hosting Moose Jaw on Remembrance Day, visiting Swift Current on New Year’s Eve and in Red Deer on Family Day.

The WHL is moving 7 p.m. starts on Sundays to 4 p.m. this season, the Tigers will host two Sunday games, Nov. 27 against Prince Albert and Feb. 5 against Regina.

The Tigers will wind up the regular season on March 25 with the Swift Current Broncos in town.
