RCMP say highway ‘impassable’ near Brooks following collision between semi and pickup

BROOKS, AB – RCMP say a portion of the Trans-Canada Highway is “impassable” Monday afternoon following a motor vehicle collision.

Brooks RCMP say they are at the scene of the collision involving a semi-truck and a pick-up truck.

“At this time, the highway is impassable between Highway 876 and Range Road 124 at Highway 1,” reads a news release from RCMP.

The Twitter account @511Alberta says eastbound Highway 1 is closed near Tilley.
