REDCLIFF, AB — Preparations continue to celebrate Canada’s 155th birthday this Friday in Redcliff.

Lions Park is the venue for the day-long celebration that begins with the Lions Club pancake breakfast from 9-11 a.m.

They will cut a birthday cake at noon, and the Redcliff Lionettes will serve hot dogs from 1-3 p.m. in the park.

Some old-fashioned games begin at 2 p.m., which municipal manager Phyllis Forsyth says captures the theme of the Canada Day festivities in Redcliff.

“I think so,” says Forsyth. “So it’s really community coming together to celebrate community and who we are as Canadians,” adds Forsyth.
