Police seeking man who gave false name during arrest last month

REDCLIFF AB. — Redcliff RCMP are looking for a suspect who gave them a false name during a traffic stop near Bassano last month.

Two people were arrested initially on May 11, and a variety of weapons were seized by Mounties.

It’s been determined the male arrested gave officers a false name.

Dexter Louis Showers, 31 years of age of Medicine Hat, has been charged with 20 offences, including identify fraud, obstructing a peace officer and weapons offenses.

Police advise not to approach this man

Showers is the subject of numerous warrants for his arrest and police advise not to approach him as he may be dangerous.
