10.7 mm of rain Monday raises 3 day total to over 40 mm for Medicine Hat

Rainy Monday pushes precipitation totals higher

MEDICINE HAT — The southeast corner of Alberta has benefited from a 3 day rainfall event.

Seven Persons, about 25 kilometers southwest of Medicine Hat, received the highest precipitation, with Environment Canada recording 60.8 millimeters as of midnight last night.

Medicine Hat’s 3 day total was 42.6 millimeters, including another 10.7 millimeters on Monday.

Since May 1, the city of Medicine Hat has received 70.8 millimeters of precipitation.

The rain was fairly general, although it appears that areas to the west didn’t fare quite as well as others.

Bow Island’s total since the rain began on Saturday was 14.3 millimeters.

Foremost received 23.4 millimeters.

To the north, Ralston totalled 25.8 millimeters, while Schuler had 23.5 mm.

One Four recorded 36.4 millimeters, and Irvine had 37.1 since Saturday.

The rain extended into Saskatchewan, with Maple Creek receiving 32.7 millimeters and the Cypress Hills Provincial Park recording 30.9 millimeters.

All totals are as of midnight Monday, June 6.
