Former MP Gerry Ritz tied to upstart Saskatchewan United party

May 16, 2022 | 1:42 PM

A new political party is in the works in Saskatchewan.

Independent MLA Nadine Wilson and former Conservative federal agriculture minister Gerry Ritz are part of Saskatchewan United.

The group says it supports unity and a less intrusive government.

Its social media accounts include a petition to have it become an official party.

Wilson, who represents the constituency of Saskatchewan Rivers, left the governing Saskatchewan Party last year after refusing to disclose her COVID-19 vaccine status.
