Taber Fire Department to conduct controlled burn Tuesday

TABER, AB – The Taber Fire Department will be conducting a controlled burn at the Trout Pond from 6-9 p.m. on May 10.

Weather permitting, the burn is expected to take place on the east side of the Trout Pond Campground.

The campground will be closed while the burn occurs, however, the main parking lot for Trout Pond will remain open.

The Town of Taber is asking that visitors to Trout Pond avoid the area where the burn is taking place, and the Taber Fire Department will be making efforts to mitigate the amount of smoke produced by the burn.
