May 7, 2022 | 3:56 PM

MEDICINE HAT —

5:06 pm update:

Medicine Hat’s fire department says Saturday afternoon’s accident on the Trans-Canada was a slow-moving rollover, in which no one was injured.

Acting platoon chief Jeff Kozakewich says the collision, involving a pickup truck and a semi trailer, is under investigation by police.

One person was riding in the rolled vehicle, but it’s unknown how many people were inside the semi at the time of the collision.

Kozakewich says the crash scene was cleared by about 3 p.m.

Original story:

A crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Medicine Hat brought traffic to a crawl on a stretch of east-bound lanes Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews were responding to the scene on the Trans-Canada at 7th St. S.W. at about 2 p.m.

A pickup truck had rolled on the left side of the east-bound lane, coming to rest on it’s roof, and shattering some windows.

A semi-trailer was parked near the pickup, but there was room for traffic to slowly pass to the right of the vehicles.

Paramedics, police, and firefighters responded to the scene, and one man appeared to be under examination by emergency crews.
