MEDICINE HAT, AB – The outside of Co-op Place will get a bit of facelift in the coming weeks.

β€œThe upgrades at Co-op Place include landscaping work, as well as the installation of a new pedestrian walkway. The walkway will better connect the parking lot located south of Box Springs Link NW with Co-op Place,” reads a release from the City of Medicine Hat.

The work is expected to begin on April 29 and continue until the third week in May.

Also on April 29, construction will begin inside the tunnel in Kin Coulee Park under the Trans-Canada Highway. The city says the work is being done to minimize the chances of flooding in the tunnel, a common occurrence at certain times of year.

The tunnel will be closed to the public on April 29 and is expected to reopen in the third week of May.

More information about this project is included on the City Projects webpage.

For both projects, people are asked to follow signs and allow crews room to work.
