CHESTERMERE, AB — Chestermere RCMP is warning the public about a high-risk offender that has been released after completing his sentence.

Trong Minh Nguyen, 38, was incarcerated for conspiracy to commit murder, and had previous offences including assault of a peace officer, firearms offences, and failing to comply with his release conditions.

Police say they are releasing information about him in the interest of public safety.

Nguyen (38) is described by RCMP as:

  • Vietnamese male
  • 170 cm (5’5”)

The RCMP says its members are issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, because they believe there is a significant risk of harm to the health and safety of the public.
