Street sweepers move to residential zones on Monday

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Street sweepers are already out in school zones in the city and the residential program will start next week.

Sweeping will begin on April 25 in Zone 1, which centres around downtown.

In a release, the City of Medicine Hat advises residents to watch for no parking signs, which will be placed at street corners, a minimum of 12 hours prior to sweeping. The parking ban allows city crews to clean the roads effectively for all users. Residents are asked to remove all driveway curb ramps and other objects from city streets prior to any sweeping operations.
