Another Colorado low forecast for Manitoba

Snowfall warnings in northern, central Alberta

Medicine Hat is so far expected to be spared from another dose of winter that is in the forecast for central Alberta.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings as far north as Grande Prairie and as far south as Drumheller. Anywhere from 10 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in those areas beginning Tuesday night.

The heavy snowfall end on Wednesday morning, says the weather agency.

People are advised to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

To the east, fresh off a three-day snowstorm and a weekend snowfall that followed, more snow is on the way to southern Manitoba.

Wet snow mixed with rain is in the forecast for Tuesday night and Wednesday. But that’s just the start.

Another Colorado low is forecast to move into the province on Friday and hang around until Sunday.
