MEDICINE HAT, AB – A 21-year-old Medicine Hat man has been charged in connection to a series of vehicle mischiefs that took place in January.

Zackary Kearney has been charged with one count of mischief over $5,000, 22 counts of mischief under $5,000 and three counts of theft under $5,000.

Police say between Jan. 10-28 roughly 25 vehicle mischiefs occurred in the Crescent Heights and Ross Glen area that resulted in seats, tires and mirrors reportedly being slashed.

Medicine Hat Police Service say they reviewed dozens of police reports, tips and video surveillance which led to the identification of the suspect.

Kearney’s first court appearance is set for May 31.
