Fire restriction in place for Cypress County

DUNMORE, AB — Cypress County has issued a fire control order.

Due to warm, dry and windy conditions along with cured vegetation, the county says fire behaviour can be extreme and for that reason all fire permits have been cancelled.

A fire restriction is the lowest level of advisories under the county fire control system.

Residents in Cypress County can continue to use incinerators or approved burning barrels, as well as gas or solid fuel barbecues.
