COVID cases rising, but no new measures coming, says Saskatchewan health minister

Saskatchewan’s health minister says a recent rise in the detection of the Omicron sub-variant BA.2 is a concern, but not a reason for any new measures to prevent its spread.
Paul Merriman says the government is keeping an eye on it and will adapt if action needs to be taken.
With many people still arriving in hospital with COVID-19, Merriman is encouraging people to get their booster shots.
Saskatchewan’s most recent weekly report released last Thursday shows about half of eligible adults have had a booster.
