Walmart to build $118 million fulfillment centre near Calgary
ROCKY VIEW COUNTY, AB – One of the world’s largest retailers has announced a new investment in Alberta.
Walmart Canada will spend $118 million to create a 430,000-square-foot sortable fulfillment centre in Rocky View County.
President and CEO Horacio Barbeito says the facility will serve as the company’s shipping hub in Western Canada.
“This modern facility will provide our associates with the latest logistics technology to improve our supply chain. That means more products available, more orders fulfilled and more Canadians offered two-day shipping. This is how we’re transforming our operations to meet the needs of Albertans and all Canadians.”
