Former Medicine Hat CAO takes over in Grande Prairie

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat’s former chief administrative officer Bob Nicolay has been appointed city manager in Grande Prairie.

Nicolay served in this role in Grande Prairie from 2017-2018 before coming to Medicine Hat. He announced his retirement in Medicine Hat less than a month ago.

During his time here, he was the highest-paid city CAO across the province making $406,000 a year, according to the city’s most recent financial report.

Nicolay starts in the role on Match 14 and has been contracted until Dec. 31.

CHAT News reached out to Nicolay for comment but didn’t hear back.
