Prairie Rose school trustees rescind vaccination policy

DUNMORE, AB — Trustees with the Prairie Rose Public Schools held a special virtual meeting this morning, to debate a policy dealing with mandatory vaccination or testing for some staff.

Last November, trustees passed a motion directing administration to develop a policy requiring staff who work directly with students to be double vaccinated, or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

This morning, trustees voted fice to one to rescind those requirements.

Trustee Patty Rooks was the sole vote against the motion while trustee Graeme Dennis was not in attendance for the virtual meeting.
