MHC Foundation becoming Community Engagement Office

Feb 10, 2022 | 5:16 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat College Foundation is getting a new name, but the support for students will remain the same.

For more than 30 years the foundation has coordinated fundraising efforts, helping thousands of deserving students with funding programming and resources.

“The college’s ability to fundraise and accept donations, charitably receipt eligible contributions, and apply for alternate funding such as grants all remains the same,” says Jennifer Kerslake, MHC’s director of community engagement, in a news release.

Kerslake acknowledges the dedication and passion of past and present foundation board members who have given freely of their time and energy over the years.

“It is because of their efforts that Medicine Hat College has been able to help students access education, overcome barriers and achieve their dreams for so many years. We value their contributions, which have made the difference in the lives of many and look forward to building on that success as the Community Engagement Office.”

The MHC Foundation will officially become the Community Engagement Office on July 1.
