Coun. Shila Sharps also tests positive

Mayor Linnsie Clark tests positive for COVID-19

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat’s mayor says she has tested positive for COVID-19, as has Coun. Shila Sharps.

Mayor Linnsie Clark posted the news to her Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon, saying she tested positive in the morning.

She says her symptoms are mild and that she will follow all protocols as set forth by the Government of Alberta, including isolating for at least five days.

Sharps announced later Wednesday afternoon that she has also tested positive for COVID. Sharps got tested folllowing Clark’s announcement.

Clark and Sharps are the second and third members of council to reveal a positive COVID diagnosis this month. Coun. Ramona Robins revealed her dignosis at the first council meeting of the new year on Jan. 4. She has since recovered.
