MEDICINE HAT — As the Freedom convoy moves out of Regina on the next leg of its journey to Ottawa, there’s word that GoFundMe has frozen the funds raised over the last 11 days by organizers.
The Canadian Press report says GoFundMe wants documentation about how the $4.2 million that’s been raised is going to be distributed.
The organizer, Tamara Lich, who is from Medicine Hat and serves as secretary for the Maverick Party, has said the money will go to accommodation, food and fuel for the trucks as they travel from west to east for a protest rally Saturday in Ottawa.
The convoy went through Medicine Hat on Monday.
