Stickers tied to white supremacy under investigation in Brooks

Dec 10, 2021 | 4:53 PM

BROOKS, AB – RCMP in Brooks are investigating incidents with ties to white supremacy.

Police say multiple stickers containing phrases like “white lives matter” and “make white kids” have been seen in various locations around the city.

They’ve been found on mailboxes and signs and in playgrounds.

Police also say the stickers contain a QR code that sends the user to a webpage with ties to white supremacy.

“If anyone does see these popping up in any other community, not only in Brooks but in any of their own communities that might not be here to report that,” Cpl. Josh Argue told CHAT News.

Police say they plan to lay mischief charges against anyone who puts the stickers up.
