Latest COVID-19 Numbers for December 3rd

Medicine Hat, AB–There are 68 active cases of COVID-19 in Medicine Hat on Friday.

Medicine Hat has had 4,584 total cases – the 68 active, 4,438 recovered and there have been 78 deaths.

An AHS spokesperson told CHAT News on Thursday that there are currently 41 COVID-19 positive inpatients in the South Zone with five of those in the ICU. There are nine inpatients at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with no COVID-19 positive patients in the ICU. Chinook Regional Hospital has 27 inpatients with five in the ICU. Cardston Health Centre has two inpatients; and Pincher Creek Health Centre has one.

Currently there are 4, 440 active cases in the province. 349 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours and sadly there was one additional death.

There are now 395 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, 78 of which are in ICU, and 3,258 deaths.

The province completed around 9, 694 tests in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate is 4.15 percent.

Alberta has administered 6,927, 839 doses of vaccine at the latest update.

Cypress County has totaled 864 cases. There are 13 active cases, 845 recovered and six deaths.

The County of Forty Mile has 345 total cases. There are 2 active cases, 338 recovered and there have been five deaths.

The MD of Taber has 1,300 total cases — 18 active cases, 1,265 recovered and there have been 17 deaths.

Brooks has 2,101 total cases — 6 active cases and 2,071 are recovered. Brooks has recorded 24 deaths.

The County of Newell has a total of 515 cases — 15 active cases, 492 recovered and there have been eight deaths.

Provincewide 88.9 percent of those 12 and older have received their first dose of the vaccine. 84.1 percent are fully vaccinated.
