Medicine Hat continues to see more people recovered from COVID-19

Medicine Hat, AB–There are 68 active cases of COVID-19 in Medicine Hat on Wednesday.

Medicine Hat has had 4,576 total cases – the 68 active, 4,430 recovered and there have been 78 deaths.

An AHS spokesperson told CHAT News on Monday that there are currently 47 COVID-19 positive inpatients in the South Zone with eight of those in the ICU. There are eight inpatients at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with no COVID-19 positive patients in the ICU.

Currently there are 4,619 active cases in the province. 430 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours and sadly there have been 7 additional deaths.

There are now 424 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, 79 of which are in ICU, and 3,255 deaths.

The province completed around 10, 756 tests in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate is 4.3 percent.

Alberta has administered 6,910, 936 doses of vaccine at the latest update.

The MD of Taber has 1,296 total cases — 15 active cases, 1,264 recovered and there have been 17 deaths.

Brooks has 2,101 total cases — eight active cases and 2,069 are recovered. Brooks has recorded 24 deaths.

The County of Newell has a total of 515 cases — 16 active cases, 491 recovered and there have been eight deaths.
