Adopt-a-Rink program needs volunteers

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With winter settling in outdoor rinks and ponds will soon be filled with skaters.

The City of Medicine Hat is looking for volunteers for its Adopt-a-Rink program.

There are vacancies at four locations around the city, but applications are being accepted for volunteers at all outdoor rinks.

The rinks that have vacancies are Leinweber Park pond, River Heights low board rink, Ross Glen high board rink and Southridge Park pond.

The outdoor rinks need volunteers to help make and keep the spaces operational so residents have an economical option for fun things to do in the winter.
