Province to announce vaccine plan for kids aged 5 to 11 today

The province is set to announce today what the vaccine rollout plan will look like in Alberta for children aged 5 to 11.

The province’s chief medical officer of health tweeted late Monday afternoon that she knows many families are eager to know what the plans are.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw said those plans are being finalized and will be announced today at 3:30 pm.

Premier Jason Kenney and Health Minister Jason Copping are scheduled to join Hinshaw on Tuesday afternoon.

Albertan parents and guardians who want to get their children immunized have been able to pre-book online since last week.
