Wind warning continues for Medicine Hat and area
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat-Bow Island-Suffield area and others parts of southeastern Alberta remain under a wind warning on Tuesday morning.
“Strong, damaging winds with gusts up to 100 km/h will continue for parts of Alberta today,” reads the warning. “Winds will diminish from west to east through the afternoon, with areas near the Saskatchewan border continuing to see strong gusts into this evening.”
The warning also says parts of east-central Alberta will also experience low visibility due to blowing snow.
Environment Canada advises damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
