Alberta Health Services has lifted blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom advisories for three bodies of water in southern Alberta.
“Recent weather has cooled lake and reservoir water temperatures to such an extent that blue-green algae is no longer a health concern,” says AHS.
Advisories were in place since the summer for Reesor Lake in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Acadia Valley Reservoir at Acadia Dam Campground and Milk River Ridge Reservoir in the County of Warner.
The advisories have been in place since the summer.
