GoFundMe page set up for daughters of deceased Cypress County councillor
SUFFIELD, AB– A GoFundMe page has been created to help support the three daughters of Cypress County Councillor Alf Belyea.
Belyea’s remains were found on Oct. 15, after the councillor was reported missing for several days. Police confirmed that his wife Deborah has been charged with second-degree murder, and causing an indignity to a human body. Her case has been adjourned to November 1st, and she remains in custody.
The GoFundMe page describes Belyea as a dedicated father and family man. Proceeds will go towards helping his three daughters, who have stopped working in order to deal with the tragic situation.
“He was always willing to help and do anything for anyone with no questions asked. Now with their mother charged in their father’s death, the family is in the awful position of dealing with not only saying goodbye but also having to take on the ramifications of the court process,” the GoFundMe page read.
