MHC hosting open houses in Medicine Hat, Brooks

Oct 22, 2021 | 10:38 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat College is hosting two open house events for those considering post-secondary education at the college.

Recruiters, program coordinators and current students will be at the Medicine Hat campus Nov. 3 and the Brooks campus Nov. 4 to meet with students while they get an in-person look at campus facilities and the college environment.

There will also be student sessions, information booths and program area tours.

In a news release, the college’s student recruitment coordinator says the event is an invaluable opportunity.

“We’re thrilled to be able to welcome prospective students to both of our campuses and show them first-hand what MHC is all about – what the student experience is like when you decide to join our college community,” Landon Heilman says. “MHC is a great place to learn and we’re excited to share that insight with those who are considering MHC as their college of choice.”

The $75 application fee will be waived for anyone who applies to MHC during the event. As well, a draw will also be made for one student who applies that evening to win a $1,000 tuition credit for the Fall 2022 semester.

People are asked to attend the open house, both of which go from 5:30-8 p.m., at the campus they plan to attend. More information will be provided after registration.

To register, visit mhc.ab.ca/FutureStudents/OpenHouse. All registrants will be entered to win a prize pack of MHC swag worth $100.

In accordance with provincial public health orders for post-secondary institutions, MHC requires individuals on campuses in Medicine Hat and Brooks to be fully vaccinated, or able to demonstrate proof of a negative rapid test completed within 72 hours prior to being on campus, or an approved medical exemption.
