Halloween activities at Police Point Park

Oct 20, 2021 | 1:30 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A weekend of fun is being planned to celebrate Halloween at Police Point Park.

On Oct. 30 the program Being Batty, for kids aged 4 to 7, will take place at the Nature Centre.

“Through reading and pretending to be bats, kids will learn some of the types of bats in Medicine Hat, what they eat, and what they do over winter,” organizers say.

The hands-on program will take place outside, and is weather-dependent. Participants are welcome to dress up. Each program will be about 45 minutes.

People are asked to register through the Nature Line for a specific timeslot due to COVID restrictions.

On Oct. 31 the park will hold a special one-day StoryWalk for the book The Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman. It will be up from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Park interpreters will be along the trail and may have some treats to share.
