Saskatchewan to send six COVID-19 patients to Ontario for intensive care
REGINA – The Saskatchewan government says it is sending six COVID-19 intensive care patients to Ontario.
Premier Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Health Authority confirmed the move this morning.
Scott Livingstone, the health authority’s CEO, says in a statement that he recognizes moving patients out of the province is stressful for the families involved.
He says the health authority will continue to try to provide care as close to home as possible, but adds that today’s decision is necessary to maintain quality of care for patients.
