MEDICINE HAT, AB – The city will host two mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics this weekend and says more will take place in the next month.

Clinics will take place on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Medicine Hat Mall south entrance along Trans-Canada Way.

The city says the clinics will be open to anyone over the age of 12 who is eligible to receive their first or second dose. No appointment is needed and upon receiving your vaccine you will get your proof of vaccination.

The times are tentative and are subject to change without notice, says the city. The dates and locations of further mobile vaccine clinics will be announced once confirmed.

Current provincial masking mandates will be in effect at the clinics.

The city reminds residents to take basic steps to protect themselves and their loved ones from all respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19 and influenza.

  • Stay home when sick
  • Wash and sanitize hands often
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, mouth or unwashed hands
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched

The mobile vaccination clinics are hosted by 19 to Zero, which hosted clinics at the Family Leisure Centre and Medicine Hat College last month.
