Firefighters snuff flames before damage done to nearby building

MEDICINE HAT — City fire crews responded to a garbage fire last night.
Some debris in an open space near 920 Bridge Street, just east of the Allowance Avenue overpass was burning.
Crews put out the flames before any damage to a nearby structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The call came in at 7:40 p.m. Monday evening.
