MEDICINE HAT, AB- On Tuesday, residents can borrow a book and get their vaccinations all in the same location.

An AHS mobile vaccination clinic will be coming to the Medicine Hat Public Library, on Oct. 12 from 1p.m. to 3p.m.

” We want to help and make vaccines more available and convenient for people in the community,” said chief librarian Ken Feser.

The clinic is open to anyone needing their first or second dose of the vaccine. The city currently falls below the provincial vaccination rate of 75 per cent with only 62 per cent of residents fully vaccinated.

Interested residents are asked to bring one piece of ID to the clinic. That could include an Alberta health card, driver’s licence, passport or social insurance number.

It is also recommended to wear clothing that allows for access to the upper arm.
