MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Community Foundation of South Eastern Alberta is hosting its Vital Signs Virtual Launch today to highlight the biggest impacts of the pandemic.

The group worked closely with local agencies and the report focuses on three specific areas found to be the most affected by COVID-19.

Those areas are mental health, work and economy and vulnerable populations. Vulnerable populations is split into three more areas – food security, housing density and domestic violence.

Hannah Minor with the foundation says they hope the report opens up a dialogue with the public.

“The event is to highlight the report, to offer networking opportunities for attendees and also to feature impact speakers,” says the Vital Signs community coordinator. “The goal of the report is to initiate dialogue and we knew that in order to do that we had to hear from the local agencies.”
