Municipal Election Candidates Vie for Your Vote

In Their Own Words Part Five (Mayoral Candidates)

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Municipal Election in Medicine Hat will feature the largest number of candidates in 20 years.

With so many names on the ballot, CHAT News Today has created a segment called “In Their Own Words” which is designed to help residents make an informed decision at the polls.

Candidates were asked for either a 60-second video or short written submission on why they believe Hatters should vote for them.

These are the candidates’ submissions CHAT News has received so far. More will be added as we receive them.

To the residents of Medicine Hat.

It has truly been my privilege and humble honor to have served you for the last 8 years as your Mayor and 14 on city council.

We all know that there is a municipal election this Monday with unprecedented interest from my experience.

We have accomplished a great deal together, from berming our city to new firehalls, Family Leisure center expansion, CO OP place, and new power generation. This work is not complete we need to upgrade our recreation facilities, ice and outdoor pools as well as the incredible work done by Invest Medicine Hat to expand and grow our business base. Finally, we need to set the stage for the Waterfront District and supplement the amazing transformation of our downtown.

I have proven that when I set my mind, heart and soul to a project I can work with city council to see it completed.

The time to vision the future is now and I have the leadership skills to complete the vision.
