One block of Sixth Avenue closed for repairs this week

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A popular downtown road will be closed for a least two days this week.

The City of Medicine Hat says Sixth Avenue SE will be closed between First Street and Second Street on Tuesday and Wednesday to repair asphalt deficiencies.

The city says the road should reopen Thursday, depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances.

Pedestrians will have sidewalk access on the west side of the street.

Motorists are asked to obey all posted construction and detour signage.
