MHPS investigating sudden death

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Officers with the Medicine Hat Police Service are investigating after a report of a deceased body outside city hall.

Officers with the patrol section and major crimes responded to the area just after 11 a.m.

“An investigation in conjunction with the Medical Examiner’s Office is ongoing, however there is no indication that this is a criminal matter and there is no risk to the safety of the public,” stated a press release issued by the MHPS.

The MHPS later confirmed the person was a man in his thirties.

No further information about the investigation or the identity of the person will be released.
