Trudeau greets commuters after election night
The final results from the federal election might not be known in some ridings for days.
But as of this morning, the Liberals were leading in 158 ridings and are in position to form the next government.
The party held 155 seats when Justin Trudeau called the election.
The Conservatives are poised to win the popular vote, with more than 5.4 million of the nearly 16 million counted ballots cast for the Tories, compared with 5.1 million for the Liberals.
